Let's energize City Council and civic action with a positive and action focused effort to maintain and improve the City of Keene now and into the future.
My Approach
I come to City Council with no pre-conceived notions and a desire to find solutions through consensus building and communicating. Where consensus cannot be reached, mutually beneficial compromise or offsetting benefits can resolve obstacles. Watch this space and other sources for regular communication of City activities and directions.
I have met many residents of Keene, but not everyone – yet! Stay tuned!
What can Work
We all want Keene to keep and even enhance its vibrancy and energy. Central Square and Main Street is a focus for us all, but the neighborhoods where we live are our homes and our security. We also have a social conscience and are ready to help those in need. The breadth and depth of organizations that fill these needs is amazing, but at times are like oars rowing in uncoordinated rhythms.
But you know all this! At times it seems like everything has been tried, examined, tested or considered and either implemented or rejected. So often I hear that response to an issue, be it sidewalks or parking.
Maybe it is time to review past efforts and processes and re-awaken them. We have a Master Plan that is coming up for review in 2024; what a wonderful time to reconsider how well that which as been done will meet the goals of the future.
